How to declaw Rupert

That 60% of British people think Rupert Murdoch has too much influence on British politics surprises me.
I’m sure there are many people, including politicians, who would agree. But how do you reduce that influence?
The key is reducing how many people are influenced by the media he controls because they’re the source of his power and influence — the people who read those media and whose views of political parties, politicians and issues are coloured to some degree by what they say about them.
So forcing him to sell some of his papers would help. How many and which? That should be based on their readership.
Now, which politician is going to have the cojones to tell Rupert that? Right now I don’t see any as he’s been the kingmaker of British politics since the late 1970s thanks to the readership of the Sun and the News of the World. It may take some radical change in their readership or influence over their readers to change that.
